there’s a list of reasons that make my husband an extraordinary father. here’s a few (obvy but goody) that stand out: he’s committed to prioritizing our son even when there’s important adult stuff like career and school. he provides for us so our son and i have the luxury of ~~shopping sprees~~ spending uninterrupted quality time together. but most importantly, he knows how to have F U N, which is quite fitting to celebrate our captain at the pirate festival. it’s become a tradition.

the wonder years. a time for adventures and exploration: searching and discovering. harvests of imagination is bountiful. the senses are soothed by the intermittent arrival of waves. smells of home, tastes of refreshingly cool, touch of a gentle breeze. fulfilled by bliss. the innocence of each second remains within the next and thereafter. it’s a time where it should be endless.

my apologies for the lazy “posts” from instagram. lame, i know.

L is now 26.5 months. we’ve come a long way from that dark time in my life when i had the mc. many of you were there for me - i will never forget that. you’ve crossed my mind during these ~~days~~ months of being mia from tumblr. i look forward to catching up.

i still miss our life in San Diego. the way i felt so comfortable in a place so distant from familiar faces and places. i’ve always called it my very own eutopia. we can at least escape to it temporarily when a vacay is needed. it’s my wish to call it “home” again eventually. but the truth is, i’ll only make it reality if we feel it can benefit L. because really, there’s not much to complain about our current home where it’s cozy + where memories are being made. i adore our neighborhood + its surroundings. our location is convenient enough to pedal our way around, which makes living with one car feasible.

i take pride in my role as a sahm; though there’s still so much more room to grow. there are rough times, but it’s those times that keeps our bond strong. L just finished up his first year of school aka together time pre-pre-preschool. this will be his second month of dance lessons. he can count to 10. i love watching him role play with whatever he can get his tiny hands on - from rocks to bugs to lego pieces to leaves. he displays his confidence from the way he participates in front of a crowd and how he attempts to play with groups of older kids. and oh yeah, he still nurses.

so this is all i have for now. let’s hope it won’t be another year until my next post ;)
